BACKGROUND

Opening Ceremony is the living legend in the world of fashion boutiques.  The famous Shoho-based boutique in New York was founded in 2002 by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon and has since then has continued to showcase an electric mix of leading international designers uniquely coupled with traditional bric-a-brac that has been hand-picked from flea markets, vintage shops and various stops in their travels.

THE COLLECTION

In addition to the retail boutique, Opening Ceremony designs a namesake ready to wear collection for men's and women's – as well as recently launched shoes. Opening Ceremony launched its first footwear collections for SS07. Based on simple silhouettes, the collection takes reference from men's oxfords, women's classic pumps, the simplicity and beauty of basic shoes to match any ensemble. Offering a range of styles from ballet flats to open–toed boots for women and saddle shoes for men, the collection is created in natural leather and suede in wearable colors and is consistently leading the style trend.
